Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance Analyst for Firmware, you will play a critical role in ensuring the excellence of our automation products. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough testing during product development and at launch stages to verify that all new features operate seamlessly. You will also engage in scripting to automate testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the quality assurance processes for embedded software in automation products.
  2. Develop and execute test cases, analyze outcomes, and report findings.
  3. Create and maintain comprehensive test plans.
  4. Design, implement, and run automation scripts.
  5. Engage in hands-on activities to establish your physical testing environment on Vention machines, including motor installation and mechanical assembly.
  6. Manage your software testing environment through shell commands, Git version control, and Linux programming.
  7. Organize and prioritize testing requirements effectively.
  8. Facilitate the resolution of features and bugs during sprints, ensuring issues are addressed prior to deployment and revalidating post-deployment.
  9. Communicate issues, risks, and testing status clearly and promptly to all relevant stakeholders.
  10. Develop processes and infrastructure to enhance QA activities, improve quality, and expand test coverage, including continuous integration and automated test suites.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the industrial automation sector or significant project-based experience.
  • Hands-on experience in testing code and modules against standard use cases.
  • Proficiency in Microcontroller Peripherals, including GPIO, clocks, resets, ADC & DAC, PWM, DMA, and Interrupts.
  • The ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
