Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Development

Empire Life is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Development Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting activities related to commercial and consumer loans and block acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess loan opportunities and provide recommendations based on underwriting results.
  • Manage loan pipelines in conjunction with relationship managers.
  • Compile and analyze data to underwrite loans.
  • Prepare detailed financial models and covenant reviews.
  • Provide sound risk assessments and recommendations.
  • Liaise with internal departments as required throughout the process.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance.
  • 5+ years' experience in financial reporting and analysis in a corporate environment.
  • Insurance or Financial Services experience is valuable.
  • Bilingualism (French & English) would be an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, logical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed organizational, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
