This position requires collaboration with the Commissioning Manager to develop comprehensive schedules aligned with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Commissioning Manager in the execution of large-scale wind, solar, hydro, and geothermal projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality benchmarks.
  • Contribute to the formulation of detailed assembly and commissioning plans, in line with the project's foundational strategy.
  • Prepare and document commissioning and energization procedures, including necessary permits and isolation certifications.
  • Facilitate technical coordination among team members, including both client and contractor personnel.
  • Conduct visual inspections and functional tests on equipment and systems prior to commissioning trials, ensuring reliability and compliance with grid standards.
  • Manage documentation related to commissioning activities, ensuring proper handover to Operations and Maintenance Units.
  • Supervise commissioning tests for high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems, adhering to industry regulations.
  • Provide regular commissioning activity reports, following established standards.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred, along with relevant experience in the power generation sector.
  • Familiarity with testing instruments and methodologies.
  • Understanding of machinery and equipment utilized in the commissioning field.
  • Knowledge of grid energization and synchronization requirements for renewable energy facilities.
  • Proficient in SCADA systems and communication protocols.
  • Awareness of electrical safety standards and environmental management practices.
  • Experience with electrical equipment protection logic and associated instrumentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
