Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including complete meals and individual items, using a range of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all food is presented in a clean and appealing manner.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality food service.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all food prepared.
- Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, such as food preparation and cooking, with accuracy and efficiency.
- Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, including during peak service times.
- Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all customers receive high-quality food and service.
- Excellent Oral Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and customers to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality food service.
- Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Judgement: Use sound judgement to make decisions about food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Organized: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
