Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our Geriatric Program as a part of a multidisciplinary team providing assessment, treatment, consultation and follow-up services to mentally ill elderly clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services to elderly clients and their caregivers, including comprehensive psychosocial assessments and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans using a variety of psychosocial treatment modalities, crisis intervention and family counseling.
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive care and support to clients and their families.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers on mental health issues affecting older adults.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and statistics.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients in a psychiatric or community mental health setting.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.
