Job Summary

Avro Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Line Haul to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Safely: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and handled.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Documentation: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as complete all necessary documentation, such as bills of lading and driver logbooks.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our team.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Valid Passport: Must have a valid passport.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Medical Exam: Must pass a medical exam.
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job, requiring the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to work 35 hours per week, with regular hours and overtime as needed.
