Graphic Designer Job Description

At CANADA NAUTICAL, we are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join our team. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and effective graphics for our communications materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and Plan: Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations, and plan accordingly to meet deadlines.
  • Client Consultation: Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations, and to meet their communications needs.
  • Design and Production: Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations, and produce 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials, and consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials.
  • Graphic Elements: Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives, and prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements.
  • File Management: Process files and paperwork, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Initiative, team player, creativity, and ability to work in a permanent position with 35 hours per week.
