Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team at The Chefs' Warehouse. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify inventory stock matches delivery requirements to ensure accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Follow a set, scheduled route for daily deliveries to ensure timely arrival at client locations.
  • Utilize maps or GPS to determine and track daily routes, ensuring efficient delivery of products.
  • Load and organize product inventory from the warehouse into your vehicle and unload products as needed throughout the day.
  • Confirm delivery upon arrival to recipient clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Collect signatures and/or payments at delivery locations, as required.
  • Deliver goods to specific locations determined by clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Communicate with the warehouse on delivery progress as needed, ensuring seamless delivery operations.
  • Maintain and organize all delivery paperwork and deliver it to the proper personnel at the end of each shift.
  • Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while en route to supervisors, ensuring a safe and efficient delivery process.
  • Adhere to all company and state-enforced safety requirements for loading and unloading product, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent certification.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Have a clean driving record with no moving violations.
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Be proficient at driving and parking large vehicles.
  • Be physically fit and strong, able to lift 25 pounds comfortably.
  • Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is a plus.
  • Exhibit a professional and pleasant disposition, providing excellent customer service to clients.
  • Be dependable, hardworking, and an effective communicator.
  • Demonstrate excellent time-management and organizational skills.
