Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Brightshores. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting health and well-being in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal health outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in staff meetings and unit-specific projects to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Coach and mentor new staff and students to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Utilize evidence-based practice to inform patient care decisions
  • Lead by example, empower others, achieve results, and develop others to create a positive and supportive work environment

Requirements

  • Ontario College of Nurses registration or eligibility
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • 12-24 months emergency room/Critical Care experience
  • Excellent assessment and interviewing skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to prioritize and remain calm during stressful situations
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and continuing education
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing
  • Community College Diploma in Emergency Nursing or ENC Certification
  • TNCC, CTAS, and CPI training
  • Participation in RNAO, ENAO, and ENA
