About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at SGM WOODWORKING INC. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality wooden products and furniture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made and translate them into reality.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products to achieve a high-gloss finish.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects and ensure that they are within budget.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products to meet customer specifications.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a regular schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
