Job Title: Senior Sourcing Advisor

As a Senior Sourcing Advisor at National Bank, you will play a key role in negotiating commercial agreements that support our banking products and services offering. This position requires expertise in multiple legal fields, including technology, commercial agreements, and information security.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Act as a sourcing advisor specialized in commercial agreements for acquisition of goods or services from third party suppliers, supporting the business activities of our Financial Markets team.
  • Collaborate with the dedicated risk management team within the business unit.
  • Be familiar with and understand the activities and various components of the Financial Markets business sector.
  • Be familiar with and understand financial market infrastructures, market data, and trading systems.
  • Be familiar with and manage commercial relationships with various third party partners.
  • Demonstrate leadership and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and intervene in strategic cases that have a significant impact on the activities, operations, and results of National Bank of Canada and its subsidiaries.
Your Team:

In the Sourcing sector, you will be part of a large multidisciplinary team and report to the Senior Manager IT Sourcing and Legal Counsel. Our team works with all lines of business and contributes to the delivery of numerous and various business initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Industry-related Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience OR Industry-related Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in sourcing/procurement in large organizations and category management (market data, trading platforms, and tools).
  • Good judgement and business acumen.
  • Ability to offer efficient and quality service to business partners.
  • Proactive attitude, leadership, and initiative.
  • Ability to manage priorities and a large volume of files.
Languages:

English, French. You will need to discuss frequently with our service providers or partners who speak a language other than French.
