We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at Humo Restorations Inc. as a Bricklayer and Construction Expert. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build walls, chimneys, and other structures.
- Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing for buildings.
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units, such as patios and garden walls.
- Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required for each project.
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
- Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on masonry techniques and best practices.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in masonry and construction.
- Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and dependability in meeting project deadlines.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to work at heights and handle heavy loads.
