Overview of Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Security Analyst to enhance our Enterprise Security Team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive technical and security-focused background.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and recommend security measures for applications through both automated and manual methodologies.
  2. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for web applications.
  3. Execute security evaluations and configuration checks across leading cloud platforms such as Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and AWS.
  4. Perform security assessments for mobile operating systems and applications.
  5. Test and analyze security for web services and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
  6. Conduct code reviews and maintain secure code repositories.
  7. Assess configurations of web applications protected by Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
  8. Enhance application visibility using security tools like SIEM.
  9. Monitor cyber incidents and respond to security threats.
  10. Conduct Threat Risk Assessments.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Application Development and/or Web Application Security, focusing on risk assessment and mitigation in both private and public sectors.
  2. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC GWEB, or cloud certifications like Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate are advantageous.
  3. Proficient in web protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, and SOAP.
  4. Familiarity with programming languages and technologies such as Python, .Net, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, and REST.
  5. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as the CIS Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) and NIST Standards.
  6. Experience in static and dynamic application security testing utilizing SAST/DAST tools and manual approaches.
  7. Ability to evaluate security measures within SDLC and DevSecOps practices.
  8. Understanding of cloud security and deployment models.
  9. Experience with authentication protocols such as SAML.
