Position Overview

We are seeking skilled Audit Senior Managers with public company experience to enhance our expanding Cannabis and Manufacturing division, offering ample opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Engagement Manager, leading client-facing teams on designated accounts, overseeing pre-engagement planning, execution, final deliverable preparation, and billing processes.
  • Create a comprehensive engagement work plan, including budgets and timelines. Track project progress against the work plan and communicate any necessary adjustments to the Engagement Partner.
  • Establish a professional rapport with clients, earning their trust through exceptional service, high-quality deliverables, and unwavering professional integrity.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring they are well-informed about engagement developments and logistics.
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of intricate accounting and auditing principles, applying them effectively to client scenarios.
  • Build respect and confidence within the Davidson & Company team through proficient client management, timely communication, and clear team direction.
  • Prepare accurate and timely invoices for services rendered.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to client and practice management, as well as innovating new ideas to enhance work processes.
  • Support the development of team members by effectively motivating, coaching, delegating audit tasks, and providing guidance.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Education: CPA designation (or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • At least 7 years of audit and accounting experience in public accounting, with prior exposure to the Cannabis and/or Manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and auditing capabilities, including knowledge of IFRS, CAS, US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB regulations.
  • Outstanding client service and communication skills, with a proven ability to cultivate and maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, along with exceptional written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including audit-preparation software and an understanding of technological impacts.
  • Robust research skills.
  • Proven technical expertise with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Caseware.
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
