Job Title: Executive Director, Horticulture and Conservation

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our team at the Toronto Botanical Garden. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to achieve our mission and goals.
  • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs to drive growth and success.
  • Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions, and delegate representatives as needed.
  • Establish financial and administrative controls, formulate promotional campaigns, and approve overall human resources planning.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a non-profit or environmental organization.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as ecology, agriculture, or environmental science.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive results.
