As a Fish Processing Labourer, you will be responsible for unloading fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transporting them to the work area. You will also use forklifts to transport unloaded fish and shellfish, condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing, and weigh and pack fish in ice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transport them to the work area
  • Use forklifts to transport unloaded fish and shellfish
  • Condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing
  • Weigh and pack fish in ice
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
  • Sort fish according to species, weight, and destination
Work Environment:

As a Fish Processing Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel. Overtime may be required.
