- Resource Allocation: Allocate human, financial, and material resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
- Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
- Regional Coordination: Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Policy Formulation: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
- Representation: Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
- Staff Selection: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, delegate necessary authority, and create optimum working conditions.
- Newcomer and Refugee Support: Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, providing them with support and opportunities.
- Indigenous Community Support: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, promoting mutual understanding and respect.
- Visible Minority Support: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, creating a fair and inclusive work environment.
