About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Caretaker to join our team at St. Mary and St. Patrick Schools in Taber. As a Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for our students, staff, and community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and maintain a safe and clean environment for the school and community
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairs and upkeep of school buildings and equipment
  • Operate hand and power tools, ground maintenance equipment, and cleaning equipment
  • Assist with plumbing and electrical systems
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and community members
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Current WHMIS certification
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Experience as a custodian or in a related field
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, ground maintenance equipment, cleaning equipment, plumbing and electrical systems, and computer skills
  • Demonstrates ethical and confidential behavior, good communication and interpersonal skills, and good problem-solving skills
