The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling the duties of a Registered Nurse within the ICU setting.
The Registered Nurse will be accountable for delivering both general and specialized nursing care, adhering to the standards set forth by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the approved care protocols of our organization.
Commitment Requirements:
Availability for fifty-two (52) weeks annually, excluding vacation time; Minimum pre-scheduled hours of 33.75 per month, including one weekend; Willingness to work during holiday periods; Availability for a minimum of 45 hours/month from June to September, including at least one weekend per month; Submission of additional availability as required by the Hospital.
Qualifications:
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario; Coronary Care Level 1 certification (required), Level 2 (preferred); Valid BCLS certification; ACLS certification or willingness to obtain within three months; Experience with arterial and central line maintenance; Background in critical care (preferred); Completion of Critical Care Certificate (preferred) or commitment to enroll and complete within six months; Familiarity with mechanical ventilation (preferred); Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; Excellent organizational abilities and adaptability to changing patient needs; Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making capabilities; Acceptable performance and attendance history.
