Job Title: Finish Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Dream House Kitchens & Interiors. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring that all carpentry work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in working with various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to create high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create high-quality finishes
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various settings
Requirements:
  • Carpenter Trade Certification
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Physically demanding work environment
