About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineering Lead to join our team at Interac Corp. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based platforms that support our business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Engineering: Design, build, and maintain our cloud-based platforms, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and reliable.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development and product teams to understand their needs and provide guidance on operational ownership.
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain our infrastructure, including cloud services, containerization, and orchestration.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure our platforms meet security and compliance requirements, including OSFI, GDPR, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
  • Cloud Native Technologies: Stay up-to-date with cloud native technologies and implement automation and cloud build processes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in cloud native technologies.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Bash, Python, RESTful APIs, Ansible, Terraform, DevOps tooling, and containerization.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex problems in simple language.
