VCA Canada Animal Hospitals is proud to offer practicum placements for veterinary technicians and animal health technologists. Our goal is to provide students with a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience that prepares them for a successful career in the field.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist licensed doctors and technicians with patient care and treatment
- Develop practical and professional skills through hands-on experience
- Gain exposure to various cases and learn from experienced professionals
- Participate in patient file management and electronic record-keeping
- Work effectively as a team player and develop exceptional client service skills
- Current enrollment in a veterinary technician/technologist or animal health technician/technologist program
- Ability to lift 40lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional client service skills and a compassionate attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Our practicum placements offer students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a real-world setting. You will work closely with our licensed doctors and technicians to develop your skills and knowledge, and gain exposure to various cases and procedures. Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience that prepares you for a successful career in the field.
