We are in search of a qualified individual to fill the role of Laboratory Technician within our production facility located in Kemptville. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, time management, and analytical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to established protocols to guarantee that all procedures related to routine semen production comply with set quality and quantity standards.
• Manage tasks including labeling, dilution, fill-sealing, racking, freezing, maintenance of extender supplies, lab cleanliness, and liquid nitrogen handling.
• Oversee lab database management and maintain accurate records and inventories of lab materials.
• Engage in periodic staff meetings.

Qualifications for Success:

• Possession of a College Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
• Preferred experience in a laboratory production environment.
• Familiarity with lab production, quality assurance, and database management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Physically capable with excellent manual dexterity, able to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a cold room environment with temperatures ranging from 3°- 25° C.
• Knowledge of the agricultural sector is advantageous.
• Proficiency in both English and French is a plus.
