We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at The District Municipality of Muskoka. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents and supporting the overall well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to residents, including assessing their needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to promote their health and well-being.
- Oversee the care given by non-registered staff, ensuring that it is delivered in accordance with individual resident care plans and relevant regulations.
- Order, receive, and administer prescribed medications and treatments, adhering to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Observe and monitor the conditions of residents, reporting any changes in physical or mental status to the relevant authorities.
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
- Post-secondary diploma in Practical Nursing (2.5 years diploma) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care home is an asset.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Completed police record check, including vulnerable sector screening.
