Executive Director Job Description

The ExecThread Faculty Association is seeking a seasoned Executive Director to lead its daily operations, including human resources planning, staffing, and member services delivery. This pivotal role ensures the Association's activities are effective, efficient, and aligned with its mission to protect members' rights and academic freedoms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, including human resources planning, staffing, and member services delivery
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Board and its committees
  • Maintain positive relationships with regional and national academic staff associations
  • Manage financial resources, including accounts, investments, and audits
  • Develop and approve salary scales and increment recommendations
  • Assist with faculty career management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-8 years' progressive experience in union leadership or a related field
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Innovative strategic leadership skills
  • Management background
