Job Summary
As a Warehouse Associate at EMCO Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of customer orders. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders by picking, packing, and shipping products in a timely and accurate manner.
- Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor material and customer returns, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Load and unload trucks, operate forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform receiving duties, including verifying shipments, noting discrepancies, and initiating freight claims as necessary.
- Participate in inventory management, including identifying and resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure seamless customer service and support.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset.
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge and accurately process orders.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Intermediate math skills and proficiency in applicable software systems.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at EMCO Corporation.
- Experience using M3, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
