Music Director

We are seeking an exceptional Music Director to lead our music department and oversee the singing program at Oundle School. The successful candidate will be an outstanding choir trainer with experience in training voices to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the singing program and lead three of the five choirs, including the Chapel Choir
- Create new opportunities for all pupils wishing to sing
- Teach an allocated number of pupils
- Ensure the highest possible standards in work and conduct are achieved throughout the department
- Performance Diploma or Music degree
- Continuing professional development
- Specialism in the field of choral singing
- Previous teaching experience of 1:1 and larger choirs of all ages and standards
The Music School has good facilities for music production and these play an important part in studio work, the music tech academic options, compositional work for GCSE/A level and recording projects around the school.
All members of the academic staff contribute to the School's extensive co-curricular provision and are expected to fully participate in the boarding school life that encompasses some evening and weekend duties.
