About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at NURTURECARE EARLY LEARNING CENTRE INC. as a Child Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities and provide guidance to children, promoting creativity, social skills, and emotional intelligence through various mediums such as art, music, and physical activity.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, community service providers, and parents/guardians to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for children.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress, identifying potential learning or behavioral issues, and prepare comprehensive reports for parents/guardians or supervisors.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a child-care setting, with a focus on child development and education.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 32-35 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
