Global Functions Technology (GFT) operates within the Technology and Operations sector of RBC. Our influence is extensive as we partner with various departments to provide innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clientele spans across Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking, and Wealth Management. Additionally, we spearhead the creation of digital tools and platforms to foster collaboration.

We are in search of a driven Senior Software Developer to oversee AML IT applications, possessing solid experience in Python and Unix. Our team is dedicated to developing digital tools and platforms that enhance collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in hands-on application design, coding, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with business partners to deliver solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Provide technical guidance by sharing extensive knowledge and expertise.
  • Uphold code quality and best practices throughout the technology stack.
  • Support and maintain application suites across diverse technical infrastructures and architectures.
  • Ensure system availability and lead disaster recovery planning while promoting the adoption of emerging technologies within your area of expertise.

Qualifications for Success:

Essential Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Python development.
  • Proficiency with databases, such as SQL, including query optimization.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools for application delivery.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SRE or ITIL service management.
  • Knowledge of creating Dynatrace dashboards.
