Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Yard Attendant to join our team at the Eckville Farm Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of inventory and shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Accurately receive and process inventory, ensuring accurate counts and documentation.
  • Load and unload shipments, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as needed.
  • Prepare orders for delivery, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability.
  • Class 3 Licence with Air is an asset, with experience running a forklift preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with a strong focus on physical stamina and endurance.
