We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Architect to lead the review and implementation of Core Services within our mission-critical network. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer networking and a proven track record of leading complex projects.
Job SummaryThe Senior Network Architect will be responsible for leading a review of the existing Core Services in our network and reporting on their compliance with relevant policies, directives, and standards. They will also develop the System Operational Requirements (SOR) and set corresponding technical parameters for the requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a review of the existing Core Services in our network and report on their compliance with relevant policies, directives, and standards.
- Develop the SOR and set corresponding technical parameters for the requirements.
- Lead an evaluation of the existing hardware and software for our network relative to their ability to support the specified requirements, and make recommendations on how to improve system performance.
- Develop and document the system architecture and system-of-systems strategy, including the implementation of cross-domain and gateway solutions and data-centric security solutions necessary to meet the operational requirements for our network.
- Identify the relevant policies and technical requirements that drive the solution space for our network.
- Develop and document system interface and information exchange gateway (IEG) requirements.
- Work with international partners as necessary to support the development of interoperability assurance validation and verification test cases for Federated Mission Networks.
- Provide technology services subject matter expertise for, and assist with, the planning and implementation of system deployments and upgrades in support of operations.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or 20 years of experience in Computer Networking.
- Core Services within Federated Mission Networking framework - +10 years.
- Bilingual - French & English.
- NATO Secret Clearance.
