Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator within Nova Scotia Health plays a pivotal role in the Planning, Performance & Accountability (PPA) team, acting as an internal consultant dedicated to managing multiple portfolios. This position is integral to enhancing transformation and operational planning across the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee large-scale and intricate projects, guiding them from initial design through to development, testing, and successful implementation.
  2. Collaborate with a diverse network of healthcare professionals, ensuring alignment with the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
  3. Facilitate project management education and training, empowering staff to manage smaller projects independently.
  4. Utilize project management methodologies to enhance visibility and control for project sponsors.
  5. Manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder engagement effectively.
  6. Document decisions and outcomes, while monitoring and communicating progress to various collaborators and leadership levels.

Qualifications:

  1. Undergraduate degree required.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in consultancy services, project management, or related fields.
  3. Project Management Certification (PMP) is mandatory.
  4. Advanced degrees in health administration, leadership, or business administration are advantageous.
  5. Familiarity with project management methodologies and organizational change management is preferred.
  6. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and influence.
  8. Experience in data analytics is beneficial.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a hybrid workplace model, allowing flexibility in work location while requiring occasional travel as necessary.
