Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant with a focus on Tax Compliance and Advisory to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare intricate and specialized tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of internal tax compliance procedures and policies.
  • Prepare various tax elections as required.
  • Support responses to CRA pre- and post-assessment inquiries.
  • Provide assistance during CRA audits for personal tax clients.
  • Prepare voluntary disclosures related to corporate and personal tax matters.
  • Conduct thorough tax research.
  • Participate in relevant workshops and conferences to stay informed on corporate tax developments.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a University degree or College diploma with a focus in Accounting.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the accounting field.
  • Familiarity with TaxPrep software is considered a strong advantage.
  • Currently pursuing the experience requirements for CPA designation.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax regulations is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset.
