Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting welding process specifications and operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Examining welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal.
  • Operating oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC), and determining weldability of materials.
  • Operating hoisting and lifting equipment and previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA) Certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Pressure Welding Certification.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
  • Forklift Operator Certification.
