Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at DSG HOMES AND CONSTRUCTION INC. The successful candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced personnel.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and structures, following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, ensuring they are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, adhering to environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Tend or feed machines and equipment used in construction, performing routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the general public.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, as required by the project.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy loads.
Work Environment

The Construction Helper will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with tight deadlines. The ability to work efficiently, think critically, and maintain a high level of manual dexterity is essential.

Language and Communication

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Fluency in English is required.

Work Schedule

The Construction Helper will work 40 hours per week, with regular travel requirements as needed by the project.
