Environmental Assessment Planner

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with environmental assessment planning and approvals experience to join our Impact Assessment and Permitting Team.

About the Role

The successful incumbent will complete tasks including conducting policy research, drafting notices for publishing, coordinating mail out of correspondence, drafting response letters to stakeholder comments, leading report compilation, and coordinating public events.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct policy research and analysis
  • Draft and publish notices and correspondence
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and respond to comments
  • Lead report compilation and drafting
  • Coordinate public events and displays
  • Prepare presentations and reports
  • Review and coordinate with environmental specialists
  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes
  • Undertake proposal writing
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in environmental planning, environmental policy, environmental science, or a related discipline
  • Project experience in public and/or private sectors
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people
  • Fluency with MS Office Suite
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Provincial and Federal Environmental Assessment legislation
  • Class G driver's license and access to a vehicle
