About the Role

Abnormal Security is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Security team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and releasing secure-by-design and secure-by-default platform services and components to enforce security standards across the company infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply practical security principles to technical design and development while balancing business requirements and infrastructure costs.
  • Own and lead large projects for the Platform Security team to enforce security standards and support the company's market expansion.
  • Design and develop secure and scalable customer integration frameworks and toolings to integrate the Abnormal ecosystem with external applications.
  • Reconcile platform and security requirements to build a secure platform while enabling global engineering teams to deliver high-quality software at high velocity.
  • Actively mentor and level up junior team members.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Strong software development, CAP theorem, and system design tradeoffs.
  • Experience with Authentication & Authorization and Network Security problem space, best practices, and related technologies.
  • Ability to differentiate must-have versus nice-to-have security and privacy requirements.
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering high-quality software.
  • Experience with Golang and Python programming languages.
