Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

At T PAHAL TRANSPORT, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in driving in mountainous terrain, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, ensuring that all cargo is secure and properly handled.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring that the vehicle is in good working condition and all necessary maintenance is performed.
  • Tarping and Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by properly tarping and securing all loads.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, team player, and able to work independently.
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, with varying weather conditions and terrain. You will be required to work independently, with minimal supervision, and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.
