Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification, Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification, and Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
  • Area of Specialization: Engine repair, 4-wheel drive, electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, diagnostics, brake systems, hydraulic systems, fuel and emission systems, auto body repair, plastics repair, auto body painting, welding, and truck-trailer repair.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, manual dexterity, overtime required, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgement, reliability, team player, punctuality, work term: permanent, work language: English, and hours: 40 hours per week.
