Job Title: Administrator, Network Infrastructure

The Dufresne Group is seeking a skilled Administrator, Network Infrastructure to join our Information Technology team in Winnipeg, MB.

This role involves continuously improving the design, deployment, and management of network communications, including LAN, WIFI, and interoperability with voice and collaboration communications, server, virtualization, cloud, and storage, and data center. As a key member of our team, you will participate in governance, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing people, processes, and technology assets for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical reviews and advisement on capabilities and limitations of network security technologies.
  • Contribute to enhancing network infrastructure, technologies, and components, and integrate third-party components using standard tools.
  • Ensure that components are engineered to meet the use to which they will be put.
  • Work to identify gaps, suggest improvements, and promote automation opportunities within Infrastructure Technologies.
  • Organize monitoring and alerting for all IOS tools.
  • Establish the day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Delivery department, focusing on technologies within the realm and the operationalization of processes and procedures based on the ITIL framework and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science and/or applied experience with certifications.
  • Certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or other industry-recognized certificates are considered an asset.
  • Broad knowledge of the industry, specializing in network infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of Information Technology experience with desktop and network technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using alerting and monitoring tools, and/or other similar tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and build trust.
  • Proven record of working independently and delivering on commitments.
  • Excellent communicator, including demonstrated presentation and coaching skills and ability to break down complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with network infrastructure technology in an enterprise operation.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, which may include irregular hours, evenings, and weekends as required.
  • Passport and ability to travel within North America as required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • A Criminal Record Check will be required.
