About the Role

West Power Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our team in Burnaby, BC. As a key member of our Transmission & Distribution practice, you will play a critical role in supporting our growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-voltage transmission systems to ensure reliable and efficient power delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards for transmission line engineering.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging technologies to ensure West Power Energy remains at the forefront of transmission line engineering.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in transmission line engineering with a strong background in electrical power systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, including CAD and simulation packages.
  • Post-secondary education in electrical engineering or a related field.
