Senior Project Manager Opportunity at Wood

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Vancouver, BC or Calgary, AB. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of transmission, substation, and distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and ensure that mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure project success.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree from a recognized university, along with a Professional Engineering Designation with EGBC and a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering or operations, with at least 7 years of increasing responsibility as a project manager.
  • Proven project management experience, including stakeholder management, risk and change management processes, and contract management.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.
  • Ability to travel within BC.
