About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at PRECISION MECANIQUE YVON CHABOT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to vehicle repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair complex problems with automotive systems, including engine, transmission, and brake systems.
  • Parts and Labour Estimation: Accurately estimate the cost of parts and labour required to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to ensure vehicles are running efficiently and safely.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including problems encountered and repairs made.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Possess a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced garage environment with dusty, dirty, and noisy conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, use manual dexterity, and have good hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Qualities: Be accurate, dependable, flexible, and a team player with good judgement and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Certifications: Possess an Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
