Underground Pipeline Technician

Park Paving Ltd., a leading road construction contractor, is seeking three experienced underground pipelayers to join our underground division for the 2024 construction season. This is a full-time seasonal role offering competitive wages and benefits.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Strong working knowledge of pipe lasers and transits
- Understanding of proper bedding placement and pipe securement
- Ability to evaluate and adjust work plans based on ground conditions
- Understanding of various shoring methods and safe excavation practices
- Knowledge of City specifications for the task being completed
- Setting up core elevations on structures
- Ability to assist in various labor activities, such as setting up chains for rigging, operating small equipment, and installing precast structures
- Understanding of equipment maintenance within the scope of work
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work around live sanitary and storm sewers as needed
- Able to work Monday-Friday and when necessary overtime and weekends
- Valid Ground Disturbance 201 Standard training (Alberta) is an asset
- Valid Confined Space Monitor/Entry training is an asset
