Park Paving Ltd., a leading road construction contractor, is seeking three experienced underground pipelayers to join our underground division for the 2024 construction season. This is a full-time seasonal role offering competitive wages and benefits.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Strong working knowledge of pipe lasers and transits
  • Understanding of proper bedding placement and pipe securement
  • Ability to evaluate and adjust work plans based on ground conditions
  • Understanding of various shoring methods and safe excavation practices
  • Knowledge of City specifications for the task being completed
  • Setting up core elevations on structures
  • Ability to assist in various labor activities, such as setting up chains for rigging, operating small equipment, and installing precast structures
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance within the scope of work

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to work around live sanitary and storm sewers as needed
  • Able to work Monday-Friday and when necessary overtime and weekends
  • Valid Ground Disturbance 201 Standard training (Alberta) is an asset
  • Valid Confined Space Monitor/Entry training is an asset
