About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at AGTA Home Health Care and Nursing Inc. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate dosages and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Household Management: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Transportation: Safely transport clients to appointments and errands, using own vehicle or public transportation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking, remote location, rural area, staff accommodation available, work in employer's/client's home, willing to relocate.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, work under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Between 45 and 60 kg (99-132 lbs), between 61 and 80 kg (134-176 lbs).
