Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will lead an integrated team of electrical engineers, designers, and drafters on small to medium-sized projects for various clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead an integrated team of electrical engineers, designers, and drafters on small to medium-sized projects.
  • Assign resources to prepare deliverables, including single-line drawings, area classifications drawings, cable tray layouts, panel layouts, cable/panel schedules, and JB wiring diagrams.
  • Track the progress of engineering deliverables and communicate regularly with the Program Engineering Manager.
  • Cope and man-hour estimating for new projects.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of all deliverables produced by the electrical team.
  • Manpower planning for the electrical team.
Requirements
  • 20 years or more of accomplished experience in facilities engineering and design in the oil and gas industry, with a preference for experience in thermal heavy oil.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and registered as a professional engineer in Alberta.
  • Proven experience leading a team of at least 6 engineers/designers.
  • Experience in leading and developing a team is essential.
  • This is a key leadership position, and strategic managerial skills and experience are a must.
  • Work experience across Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls is considered an asset.
  • Experience with thermal heavy oil production projects is an asset.
