About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Stonewood Group Inc. in Montreal. As a key member of our executive leadership team, the CFO will play a critical role in driving the company's financial strategy and ensuring the long-term success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance and counsel to the CEO and operating team, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee and manage the accounting, tax, insurance, budget, credit, and treasury functions, ensuring the interests of all stakeholders are served.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a financial and operational strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including revenue, expense, and balance sheet reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with securities statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • IT Alignment: Ensure that IT is aligned to the needs of the business and enables its growth.
  • Leadership: Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, mentorship, and performance management to the finance staff in the organization.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in a publicly traded company.
  • Education: A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and articulately.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working in a technology sector or related industry, preferably with a heavy services component.
