About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at MasterMudders Mudding and Taping Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit
  • Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure durability
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to install drywall and plaster
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying locations. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions, and will be required to work outdoors.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
