Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and mentor a team of 3D programmers, offering technical and professional support to guarantee high-quality code and deliverables.
  • Work closely with game design and art teams to grasp visual requirements and convert them into efficient, visually striking rendering solutions.
  • Plan 3D tasks, assess risks, and estimate production timelines.
  • Assign and prioritize tasks while monitoring the progress of the team's 3D programming deliverables.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and advancements in real-time rendering technology, evaluating their potential impact on ongoing and future projects.
  • Engage in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards to ensure quality and consistency within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute development sprints and milestones, ensuring timely delivery of commitments.
  • Contribute to the recruitment and selection process for new 3D programmers, assessing technical skills and cultural fit.
  • Support career development and recommend training opportunities for skill enhancement identified by the Team Supervisor or programmer.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a 3D programmer in the video game sector, with a robust portfolio showcasing expertise in real-time rendering and graphics programming.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and/or C#, along with experience in relevant APIs and frameworks.
  • Strong grasp of 3D graphics pipelines, shading languages (e.g., HLSL, GLSL), and advanced rendering techniques (e.g., deferred shading, physically-based rendering, global illumination).
  • Experience with optimization methods for real-time rendering, including performance profiling, GPU/CPU optimization, and multi-threading.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to debug intricate rendering challenges.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the capability to motivate and inspire a team of programmers.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with artists, designers, and other team members.
  • A passion for video games and a keen interest in staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Proven experience in leadership and people management.
