Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Refrigeration B Operator is tasked with the comprehensive upkeep, diagnostics, and repair of all production machinery while fostering a secure working atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Management of the facility's operational systems encompassing heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning. Monitoring and operation of an industrial freon refrigeration setup. Collaborating with external contractors and vendors, including emergency services and regulatory inspectors. Conducting routine facility inspections. Completing daily refrigeration system assessments and maintaining logbook entries. Executing general maintenance tasks, which may include light carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, changing light bulbs, and repairing small electrical devices. Responsible for daily refrigeration operator responsibilities, including inspections and documentation. Keeping all tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and functional state. Complying with all safety protocols and utilizing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required by the role. Reacting to emergency situations to guarantee the safety of personnel and the facility. Committed to working safely with minimal environmental impact and recognizing the importance of promptly reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills to their supervisor. Acknowledges their crucial role in ensuring their own safety and that of their coworkers and is prepared to address hazards when they arise. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Compensation: $32-$40/hour based on experience

Candidate Qualifications:

• Must hold and maintain a minimum of Refrigeration Operator "B" Certification.

• At least 2 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the food sector.

• Proficient in using power tools.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

• Comfortable working autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong communication skills.

• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

• High attention to detail.

• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
